Research Associate (m/f/d) in the field of Cognitive Psychology / Cognitive Research

In accordance with § 2 of the WissZeitVG and § 72 of the HessHG, this position is to be filled at the Chair of General Psychology and Cognitive Research, with the opportunity to pursue one’s own academic qualification (doctorate). Provided the requirements are met, compensation will be in accordance with Pay Grade 13 of the TV-H.

 

Provided that the maximum permitted duration of fixed-term employment is not exceeded, you will generally be employed for an initial term of 3 years. An extension of up to an additional 2 years is possible subject to the above-mentioned condition.

 

Your responsibilities at a glance:

  •  Personal academic qualifications and services in research and teaching in accordance with § 72 of the Hessian Higher Education Act (HessHG)
  •   Research and teaching in the field of “cognition” (particularly memory, thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, social cognition, and spatial cognition)
  • Teaching responsibilities (2 SWS) in accordance with the Teaching Obligations Ordinance of the State of Hesse

 

Your Qualifications and Skills:

  •  A completed academic degree in psychology, cognitive science, or a related field
  •  Interest in questions of cognitive psychology and scientific curiosity
  •  Very strong methodological skills in experimental psychology and/or fMRI and/or cognitive modeling
  •  Good command of English
  •  Willingness to „Think outside of the Box”
