Promovierenden-Symposium

The first edition of the GK Doctoral Symposium on Cognitive Science was hosted at the University of Tübingen on the 23rd and 24th of January 2020. Funded by the German Society for Cognitive Science (Gesellschaft für Kognitionswissenschaft), the event gathered 27 young researchers from 13 different institutions across Germany and Luxembourg, presenting their work on topics such as working memory, consciousness, embedded cognition, computational modelling, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence.

Notwithstanding the diversity of topics, the event was met with a shared enthusiasm to broaden our understanding of cognition by welcoming different approaches to the subject matter. The importance of encompassing diverse perspectives is crucial to help the young community of researchers in cognitive science reach a more comprehensive view of the field.
