The Artificial Intelligence research group (Prof. Dr. Kai-Uwe Kühnberger) of the Institute of
Cognitive Science invites applications for
1 Research Assistant
(Salary level E 13 TV-L, 50 %)
to be filled as soon as possible, for a period until December 31, 2020.
Description of Responsibilities:
The position involves participation in research activities and project coordination of a DAAD funded joint research project of the Institute of Cognitive Science and Ain Shams University, Cairo. The project aims at migrating Cognitive Science teaching structures and content from Osnabrück to Cairo, as well as helping to build the technical backbone for smart e-learning resources in Cairo. Specifically, the research connects to previous work of our group in setting up a laboratory for Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science at the Egyptian partner university, and conducting interdisciplinary and bilateral research. The position will be part of a larger team including the research partners at Ain Shams University and several contributors and project advisors on the German side.
Applicants are expected to have an excellent academic degree (Master/diploma) as
well as experience and knowledge in interdisciplinary research (e.g. in the field or in
subfields of Cognitive Science and AI).
Experience in digitization of teaching structures and in e-learning is welcome.
Experience in project management and organization is mandatory.
Experience or a strong interest in cross-cultural communication is mandatory.
A good command of the English language is mandatory.
