The School is delighted to announce a number of travel awards for students who are interested in exploring the possibility of doctoral studies at the School.

Applications:

Material to send:
(1) A one- to two-page letter of motivation (detailing your reasons for applying for the travel award, your background, and research interests);
(2) An outline for the project you would like to pursue during your doctorate (1 page);
(3) Your academic CV;
(4) A letter of recommendation (letters of recommendation can be sent directly to mb-admission@hu-berlin.de).

Terms and conditions:
Successful applicants will be invited to visit the School from 17 till 21 October 2016. The award will cover travel expenses and accommodation for four nights. Applicants will have ample opportunities to meet with the school’s faculty and doctoral candidates, establish contacts relevant for their research interest, see the School’s facilities and get a better sense of the city itself.

Eligibility:
In order to be eligible for this award you need to meet the basic eligibility criteria for applying to the School’s doctoral program in 2016; in particular you need to have completed or be in the process of completing a Master’s or equivalent degree in an area of study relevant to the School.
